GEI designed the modifications to the existing power distribution as well as the instrumentation and communications with the Central Monitoring System (CMS) for five of the six existing sludge transfer pumps. Variable frequency drives were added for the GBT Feed Pumps and are controlled primarily by the existing Central Control Panel PLC with override via the CMS or via corresponding local control panel. Additionally power and controls were provided for the tank recirculation pumps.
