Mrs. Grubb has been the sole owner of Grubb Engineering, Inc. since December 23, 1992. Having displayed her abilities as President and CEO of another services company, the decision was made to let her take Grubb Engineering, Inc. to the next level. She has over 25 years of experience in all aspects of the operations of the company. In addition to her ownership responsibilities she is also the Chief Financial Officer and Director of Human Resources. Her expert financial management has allowed the Principal Engineer and others to concentrate on the technical aspects of the firm’s services, which after all, is the primary end product.

Principal Engineer
Mr. Grubb founded Grubb Engineering in 1981 and is the Principal Engineer. He received a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin in 1970. His experience dating back to February 1971, includes planning, electrical design, coordination and management of a wide range of water and wastewater plants, electric power substation, electric transmission, and electric distribution projects. His background experience includes 11 years of electric substation design, transmission planning, distribution planning, and relay testing and maintenance for the City Public Service Board (now CPS Energy) of San Antonio. Prior to his resignation, Mr. Grubb served as Chief System Protection Engineer. Mr. Grubb is the author of two papers presented at the Annual International Conference for Protective Relay Engineers at Texas A&M University, as well as a paper presented at Cebu City, Philippines to the IIEE.

Mr. Mouser leads the Engineering Department and joined Grubb in 2004. He received a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin in 2003. His experience includes electrical, controls, and instrumentation design for the preparation of contract drawings, specifications and cost estimates for the design of water facilities, wastewater facilities and lift stations. Additionally, he supervises the Engineering Department. His tenure at Grubb Engineering, Inc. has allowed him to gain valuable experience in the electrical design of numerous ground storage tanks, elevated storage tanks, lift stations and pump stations. Mr. Mouser has served as an officer in the local chapter of the IEEE Power & Energy Society.

Electrical Test Technician IV, VP Operations
Mr. Grubb leads the Technical Services Division, working closely with the Engineering Department, and joined Grubb in 1992. His experience includes: acceptance and maintenance testing of low, medium, and high voltage electrical systems, managing and scheduling testing technicians, writing estimates for services, and providing technical support for customers and GEI field technicians. He has presented multiple programs/speeches for local organizations on switchgear maintenance and safety.

Electrical Test Technician II, TSD Supervisor
Mr. Castillo has been with Grubb Engineering since 2020. He is a NETA certified Level II technician, as well as a Level I Thermographer. He served 6 years in the U.S. Navy as an Electrician’s Mate-Nuclear. His experience includes acceptance and maintenance testing of low and medium-voltage electrical systems as well as electrical system studies including arc flash hazard analysis. In addition to testing, Mr. Castillo performs day-to-day operations which include managing and scheduling of technicians and writing estimates of service.
