Grubb Engineering, Inc. (GEI) was incorporated in the State of Texas in August 1981. GEI is recognized as a leading authority in the design, commissioning and maintenance of low, medium and high voltage electrical power systems as well as instrumentation, control and SCADA system design. GEI has, since its inception, extensive experience with water and wastewater facilities, electric utility facilities and large industrial electrical infrastructure design projects.
Grubb Engineering has provided engineering services to a number of electric utility companies. Services have included substation design, transmission line design, distribution line design, acceptance and maintenance testing, and system protection application. Utilities include CPS Energy, New Braunfels Utilities, Medina Electric Coop., Austin Energy, Bandera Electric Coop., Magic Valley Electric Coop., Cal-Energy, Philippine National Oil Company, Magma Geothermal, Central and Southwest, Central Power & Light, Guadalupe Valley Electric Coop. and Texas State University Co-Gen.
Grubb Engineering has provided engineering services to a number of water and wastewater municipalities. Services have included low and medium voltage electrical distribution design, instrumentation system design, SCADA systems design, control system design, security system design, radio path studies, power system studies, and acceptance and maintenance testing. Municipalities include The San Antonio Water System, San Antonio River Authority, Canyon Regional Water Authority and Guadalupe Blanco River Authority.
GEI is certified as a Small Business Enterprise (SBE), Woman Owned Business Enterprise (WBE) and a Historically Underutilized Business (HUB). Joy L. Grubb is the sole owner of GEI, employer of professional and graduate engineers, NETA certified technicians, PMP (Project Management Professional) and CADD personnel. From the date of incorporation to the present, Testing and Maintenance services have been an important complement to the Engineering Services. As such, GEI is proud of its status as a Full-Member NETA (InterNational Electrical Testing Association) Company.
